What do I need to know before I start my Aerial Yoga practice?

Before starting aerial yoga, consider your health, wear appropriate clothing, stay hydrated, use proper equipment, practice safely, and approach your practice with a positive mindset. It is important that you follow your body’s awareness while practicing Aerial Yoga

What is the maximum weight for Aerial Yoga?

The weight-bearing capacity of the hammocks is about 150 KGs. So you don’t have to worry about being overweight to do this course.

Who should avoid Aerial Yoga?

Individuals with vertigo or dizziness, high blood pressure, glaucoma, recent surgery or injuries, and pregnant women should avoid aerial yoga. Those with a fear of heights or claustrophobia may also find it uncomfortable.

Can a beginner practice Aerial Yoga?

Yes, beginners can practice aerial yoga! As this course covers everything from the basic foundation with the guidance of a qualified instructor, beginners can safely and comfortably explore the unique and exciting practice of aerial yoga.

What is included in the Aerial Yoga TTC course?

Discipline Rules for Students

  • Smoking and alcohol are strictly prohibited in the school.
  • If you are on fasting or absent for meals, you have to inform kitchen manager for avoiding food wastage.
  • Always make discipline, respect teachers and follow all rules.
  • Always be in the time, you are late means will not be permitted to join class.
  • Clear your account of books before departure from Rishikesh Ashtanga Yoga School.
  • Before departure return any other assistances if taken.
  • Rishikesh Ashtanga Yoga School provides accommodation for a student who join yoga classes. So any friends or relatives will not be included in accommodation.
  • Student have to be present in all scheduled program of Rishikesh Ashtanga Yoga School

Refund Policy

  • An advance of a course fees will not be refundable, only in the case of emergency students can join us on other schedules.
  • We accept cancellation as per the student's request, but advance deposit will not be refund.
  • There is no charge of course cancellation. Student just has to inform by email.

I have made my 200 hours TTC course in Rishikesh Ashtanga Yoga School (RAYS) and I think choosing this school from many other options in Rishikesh was may BEST decision. From practical side they had: nice premises (absolutely new yoga hall with all needed equipment, cosy dining area, clean room with bathroom, that always had hot water); extremely professional teachers; tasty and not super spicy food ( I cannot eat spicy, so this was important for me) and good price for the TTC course. From emotional side: stuff/management & teachers were very friendly and helpful; all my extra requests and wishes were heard and well managed; being there, I had a feeling of safety, security and trust, which I think is very important for foreigners like me (solo female from Europe). There are so many yoga schools in Rishikesh and I know that it is really hard to pick one (especially when you are at home and checking all the offers online), but RAYS exceeded my expectations and I only hope that with the increase of popularity they would not loose that quality of service in the future. Sincerely with no hidden thought I recommend this school to all who is seeking friendly vibe with the taste of knowledge and professionalism.

I recently completed my 200hrs TTC and It has been an amazing journey. The food is delicious and they provide a variety of dishes everyday. Arvind sir for Astanga and Jalpa mam for Pranayam are very experienced. Teachers are full of knowledge and very helpful. Meditation classes are something you’d really wanna experience. Last but not the least, Sangam sir for Vinyasa and Alignment is really really good

As someone who typically enjoys a diet that includes meat, I was initially concerned about the vegetarian food. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious meals served here, which became a delightful part of my journey. In fact, the food was one of the reasons behind my decision to extend my stay. Yet, the main reason behind my decision to extend my stay was my deep love for the Ashtanga yoga class. It was nothing short of transformative, providing a perfect balance of physical challenge and inner peace. My instructor-Arvind Sir is so knowledgeable and passionate, which added to the incredible experience. I love all the instructors here and all the courses. Moreover, I had the pleasure of meeting so many amazing classmates during my time here. The camaraderie that developed among us was heartwarming, and I'm confident that some of the friendships I made will be lifelong. All in all, my time at Rishikesh Ashtanga School was a journey filled with joy, growth, and meaningful connections. I just completed my 200hr YTTC with RAYS in the June intake and I am so glad that I did! There are so many yoga ashrams here in Rishikesh to choose from but I would definitely recommend this one. The quality of the yoga teachers is very high - they are very knowledgeable about a broad range of topics, they are always happy to answer any questions students have, they are patient, and best of all they are kind and friendly which makes it a safe and enriching learning environment. They also all gave resources and recommendations for some really useful topics to refer to in the future which I really appreciated, and book recommendations for those like myself who want to learn about topics more in depth. A special thanks to Arvind, Sangam, Pradeep, Aman, Bhagyashree, and Anupritha; I learned so much from you all and you have inspired me to continue to learn as much as I can, this was just the beginning. Naman the manager was very responsive to everyone for any queries or concerns we had, and he made himself available 24/7 for students to make sure we were as comfortable as possible during our stay. We went on two excursions during the 25 day course to two beautiful locations which I would not have found myself, and we were also occasionally taken outside of the ashram to practice in an outdoor setting. Regarding the food - so delicious! and there was a good amount of variety over the duration of the course. Amit the chef accommodated my vegan dietary requirements and even went out of his way to make separate dishes for me sometimes so that I could try the dishes that normally contain animal products. Since this ashram is a bit smaller than some of the others you can notice the extra effort put in and higher quality of the food. Also thank you to Shubham the very talented photographer, he took some amazing shots of everyone during the course and captured some moments that will be lifelong memories. He was always very approachable and happy to help people in any way to get some nice photos for their social media. Overall a wonderful experience with a great bunch of other people from all over the world, and I will definitely be back one day to do another course or two!

I chose this school only by intution, because there are so many yoga schools in Rishikesh, when you google them, but I didn’t regret my decision for a single minute. Everyone was so helpful from the very beginning. They arranged a taxi transfer for me and they treated me as a part of the family the whole time. They even gave me a birthday cake for my birthday, which was amazing! Thank you for that again. The school has very good location with plenty of nice cafes, restaurants and shops around, but you will not really need much, because there is delicious food provided 3 times a day in school. I really enjoyed and loved all the classes. All of the teachers are highly qualified and provided excellent education. They covered everything Yoga - from Pranayama, Asanas, Meditation, Anatomy, Philosophy to Alignment. All of them were happy to answers all our questions and provided us also with additional sources of information such as youtube videos, apps, books, websites and much more, which I really appreciated. Moreover they were all an amazing and friendly people. I also enjoyed the excursions provided by school on our free days. It was so nice to go to some places that I would probably not get to by myself. So to sum it up, I got all the information I was craving from this TTC and it really met all I was hoping for when signing for this course. Over all experience is wonderful, teachers are great- Sangam sir, Anupritha Mam, Bhagyashree mam, Arvind sir, all are too good for their subjects. Stay facilities need to be improved which is understandable because ours was the 1st or 2nd batch. Management is humble and ready to co-operate wherever possible. I was going through a rough patch and made a lot of supporting friends. Teacher's advice(Anupritha mam and Bhagyashri mam) also helped in my improvement journey. Would recommend all to enroll in the course and get connected with the teachers for improvement in your overall life journey
